Ring Tones
My Dad loves indulging me in my geekness. He sends me something tech related at least once a week if not more. So today I thought that I would share with you his latest. It is a list of the 20 best ringtones and text message alert sounds for the geek/tech/gadget/sci-fi aficionado. Some of them I really wasn’t sure what they were, but then I read the little description that I am omitting in my post but can be read here. For the most part I thought that they were clever.
Here are the top 10 must have ringtones:
10. Dial-Up Modem Sequence 9. Futurama Theme 8. Hiphopopotomas (Flight of the Conchords) 7. Windows 95 Startup Tone 6. R2D2 5. TIE Fighter Theme 4. Kill Bill Theme 4. Kill Bill Theme (Sarah note, this is so not geeky, but whatever) 3. Ralph WIggum 2.Code Monkey (Jonathan Coulton) 1. CTU Phone Ring
Here are the top ten must have test tones:
10. Post Beep 9. Price is Right (Fail Horn) 8. Murloc Gurgle 7. Wookie Growl 6. Zelda Chest Opening Chime 5. KITT 4. Lightsaber Swoosh 3. Battlestar Galactica Cylon 2. Metal Gear Solid Codec Alert 1. Star Trek Communicator
Now comes the 5 ringtones to avoid:
5. The Halo Theme 4. “Is anyone there?” from Portal 3. That noise Will made when he fell off the Showdown bull 2. Star Trek Theme 1. Tay Zonday
Text tones to avoid:
5. Wilhelm Scream 4. Lumbergh’s “Yeaaaaah” from Office Space 3. Timmmmay! 2. Leroy Jenkins 1. Apple startup chime (Sarah note, so totally do not argree, but what can I say Maxium PC came out with this list.)
There you have it my fellow geeks. Let’s face it, if you read blogs, have a blogs, or just are bumming around on the internet, you have a little bit of geekness in your personality!
