First Days
People have many “firsts” in their lives. When we are little we have our first words, then steps, then soon it is our first day of school, elementary school. As time goes on and we grow the “firsts” become a little more exciting and scary all at the same time. First day of middle school, then high school, then there is the first day of your senior year of high school. I thought for sure that I would remember that day for the rest of my life, but I don’t.
Today while the rest of the world had the day off, I woke up and went to the gym to work out and then get ready for the first day of my senior year of college. Let me tell you, I thought that it would be really special, but not really. I am not sure how to react to the fact that it was the last first day of school, ever. Grad school will be totally different, chances are most of the classes will be online, so it will all on my own time. No more first day of school outfits and nervousness of the day.
Will I remember today? Maybe. Will I remember the year? Most definitely. Am I excited for what the future holds? You have no idea, bring it on!!
